PARSEC è uno spettacolo senza parole per piccolissimi sul tema del viaggio.

 

Il primo voltare della testa, dello sguardo, dell’orecchio teso verso una voce conosciuta nella pancia di mamma, oggetti che si muovo e tintinnano. Lo spostarsi nello spazio rotolando, strisciando, a gattoni, in piedi. E poi un passo. Un altro ancora e ancora e ancora. Il viaggio ha inizio.

Nella scena un quadrato, un perimetro che racchiude un pezzo di mondo. Nel quadrato un cubo. Nel cubo un personaggio. Sta bene lì. È casa. Ma qualcosa lo fa uscire dal cubo-casa. Inizia ad esplorare quel pezzo di Terra. Crea una mappa. La crea, la percorre, ci gioca. Scopre il mondo. Oltre il perimetro. Oltre il bordo.

 

Uno ti dice Buon viaggio
quando ti vede andare via.
Tu dici grazie e poi parti
e non ci pensi più
perché pensi soltanto
al tuo viaggio
che sta per cominciare
ed è la cosa
più importante di tutte.

Il parsec è un’unità di misura astronomica basata sulla parallasse. La parallasse è un fenomeno per cui un oggetto sembra spostarsi rispetto al punto di osservazione. Ma è proprio il tuo punto di vista che lo fa muovere.
Il viaggiare è un po’ questo: andare verso l’ignoto, come in un viaggio stellare, dove il tuo punto di vista costruisce il mondo. Ma il mondo, allo stesso tempo, può cambiare il tuo punto di vista. Il mondo ti contamina. Ti cambia. E tu cambi il mondo intorno a te.

PARSEC is a non-verbal performance for little ones with a focus on journey.

The first turning of the head, of the gaze, of the ear straining towards a familiar voice in the womb, objects that move and jingle. Moving around in space by rolling, crawling, on all fours, standing up. And then a step. Another and another and another. The journey begins.

On stage, there is a square, a perimeter, that encloses a world’s piece. Inside the square is a cube. Inside the cube is a creature. It feels good there. This cube is its home. But something makes it leave its cubicle home. It starts to explore that part of the Earth. It creates a map. It makes it, travels along it, plays with. It discovers the world. Beyond the perimeter. Beyond the border.

Someone says “Good journey” / when they see you leaving. / You say thank you and then you go, / and you don’t think about it anymore / because you only think / about your journey / that is about to begin / and it is the most important thing of all.

The parsec is an astronomical unit of measurement based on parallax. Parallax is the phenomenon whereby an object appears to move relative to your point of observation. However, it is your point of view that causes this movement. Travelling is a bit like this: venturing into the unknown, as on a stellar journey, where your perspective shapes your experience of the world. However, the world can also change your point of view. The world contaminates you. It changes you. And you change the world around you.
